The Association of Lebanese Industrialists, headed by Salim Zeenni, issued a statement today expressing its gratitude to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, particularly His Royal Highness Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman, who issued directives to resume the import of Lebanese products, especially industrial goods.
The Association also extended its thanks to His Excellency the President of the Republic, General Joseph Aoun, and the Prime Minister, Dr. Nawaf Salam, for their persistent efforts with the Saudi leadership to reach this decision, as well as to the Minister of Industry, Joe Issa Al-Khoury, for following up on the file.
The Association of Lebanese Industrialists congratulated all manufacturers and producers on this step, considering it a pivotal development that will provide a strong boost to the national industry by enabling it to return to its traditional and key markets. It also comes at a time of severe economic conditions in Lebanon and is expected to provide the Lebanese economy with a much-needed “oxygen boost” at this stage.
The Association expressed its readiness to assist industrialists with everything they need to return to the Saudi market after nearly five years of interruption, a process that requires a series of regulatory and procedural steps.
The statement concluded by expressing gratitude and appreciation to Lebanese consumers who have trusted national industry and shifted a significant portion of their consumption from imported foreign products to Lebanese-made goods, helping the local industry withstand and continue operating under the most difficult circumstances. The Association also pledged to continue working to maintain the highest quality standards and enhance the competitiveness of Lebanese industry, strengthening its position and presence in both local and international markets.
