The Association of Lebanese Industrialists (ALI), headed by Salim Zeenni, welcomed today a delegation from the Investment Development Authority of Lebanon (IDAL), including Vice Chairpersons Abbas Ramadan and Zeina Zeidan, as well as Board Members Hassan El Halabi and Veronique Saryan. The meeting focused on the requirements for advancing the industrial sector, ways to stimulate industrial investments, and the proposed establishment of new industrial zones. Discussions also addressed strengthening IDAL’s role and enhancing its capabilities to attract new investments and support productive sectors.
During the meeting, Zeenni stressed the importance of providing technical support to industrialists and introducing incentives that encourage expansion and increased investment, particularly through tax incentives and exemptions from certain fees. He also called for a practical package of supportive measures, including supporting industrial exports, facilitating participation in specialized international exhibitions to help open new markets worldwide, and developing fully equipped industrial zones that meet the sector’s needs and support its growth.
For its part, the IDAL delegation presented the services and incentives offered by the institution to industrialists, as well as the exemptions granted to new industrial projects and investments.
The delegation also announced IDAL’s plans to launch a model industrial city project in Qraiaa, Chouf. The meeting included an extensive discussion on the project and its importance in supporting the industrial sector, in addition to the administrative and implementation steps required to bring it into operation.
