The Association of Lebanese Industrialists has firmly rejected the tax article included in the state budget, considering it a direct blow to the national industrial sector through the imposition of non-refundable burdens on essential services.
The Association stressed that the decision threatens competitiveness, weakens production and employment opportunities, and opens the door to increased market flooding through imports.
It further announced the launch of parliamentary contacts and advocacy efforts to challenge the article, in defense of Lebanese industry and in protection of the national economy.
