As part of the initiative funded by the German Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development (BMZ) to enhance the quality and attractiveness of Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET) in Lebanon, implemented by the Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ GmbH) in collaboration with the Directorate General for Vocational and Technical Education (DGVTE) in Lebanon, a ceremony was held to distribute Quality Seal certificates and competency certificates to individuals who underwent training to improve their educational skills. During the ceremony, Quality Seal certificates were awarded to four companies and three vocational and technical training institutes in recognition of their commitment to high-quality TVET standards. The Association of Lebanese Industrialists (ALI) was responsible for assessing the companies and institutes to ensure their compliance with the established standards. Additionally, participants in various training programs received competency certificates, reflecting ongoing efforts to strengthen the TVET sector in Lebanon. The ceremony took place on February 27, 2025, at the Saint Joseph University theater, in the presence of representatives from the German Embassy in Beirut, DGVTE, and GIZ GmbH, along with key stakeholders, including the Association of Lebanese Industrialists, the Faculty of Education at Saint Joseph University, as well as directors of participating institutes, teachers, trainers, professionals, and experts from GOPA Consultants.
