The Prime Minister, Mr. Nawaf Salam, received a delegation from the Association of Lebanese Industrialists headed by Mr. Selim Zeenni at the Grand Serail. The meeting addressed the current state of the industrial sector in Lebanon and the challenges jeopardizing its sustainability.
The delegation expressed deep concern over the increasing operational and tax burdens, as well as the absence of supportive incentives. They emphasized that the industrial sector had remained resilient throughout various crises and served as a pillar of the national economy.
The Association’s president stressed the need to alleviate the pressures facing this vital and legitimate sector, ensuring its continuity and promoting investment opportunities.
Prime Minister Salam expressed his full understanding of the concerns raised and agreed on the development of a joint action plan to revitalize the sector and strengthen its role in the national economy.
