The Association of Lebanese Industrialists (ALI), under the leadership of Salim Zeenni and with support of the International Labour Organization (ILO), has launched an initiative aimed at linking the capabilities of Lebanese industrialists with the needs of NGOs working to provide for displaced persons during the reconstruction phase, leading to their safe return home.
Under this initiative, these organizations will give priority to Lebanese products in their purchases by enabling Lebanese manufacturers to participate in tenders launched to procure their needs. These include food items, consumer goods, clothing, medical supplies, personal and child hygiene products, cleaning products, stationery, electrical supplies, and relief materials. Notably, Lebanese industries offer a wide range of high-quality products that meet global standards and specifications.
The initiative also includes informing ALI’s member industrialists of these organizations’ needs, enabling them to submit tenders. Prioritizing Lebanese products in NGOs’ procurement processes is expected to support the resilience of Lebanese industrialists, strengthen national industry, and bolster the national economy.
